Course
Overview: This is a graduation requirement course. The student will examine
1) key concepts, issues, and terminology in world history and 2) information to
understand the past and present.
At the
completion of this course, the student will:

Describe the
necessity for an education in world history |

Identify
specified countries, capitals, and current leaders |
|
Define
terminology to discuss important concepts and events |
|
Demonstrate
understanding and higher levels of thinking in unit content through formal
and technical writing and discovery projects |
|
Make
connections between past and current issues |
|
Relate
events in the past to events and issues concerning his/her daily life |
|
Discuss the
use of this education |

Hats are
removed while inside the classroom and any extension of the classroom
(i.e. library) |

Gum,
food, or drinks (bottled water is acceptable) are not permitted in the

Punctuality
is commended and strictly enforced. The school Lockout policy is
enforced. A late student should immediately report to Lockout. Passes
from other teachers are limited and may not be honored. |
